NEW! The FHS Thick Bar

Now you too can build Frightening Forearm Strength

It has long been agreed upon that training with thick-handled equipment is a terrific way to build incredible forearm strength. The thicker diameter forces you to have to grip the bar even harder to lift the weight, making every exercise you do with it into a terrific grip builder...
The issue is that finding a quality thick bar in today's strength world is surprisingly tough to do... But now that particular problem is solved since we are now proud to introduce our very own thick bar.

Yes, it is a very basic piece of equipment, but it has quite a few advantages that you may not be obvious.

First of all, the gripping surface is 2-inches, but the bar ends are turned down to the Olympic standard of 1.97 inches in diameter. This means that your plates and collars will fit it perfectly - it's going to be a real problem for you if your bar ends are 2-inches - and that will not be the case here.

Second, the bar itself is tube steel with end caps and not solid stock. Now you may be wondering why this is an advantage - it is for a very specific reason. You see, there are a number of very effective thick bar exercises which you may not be able to do if the bar is too heavy.

For example, one of my all time favorites is the reverse curl with a thick bar - one of the MOST effective forearm builders I know. Thing is, this movement is impossible when the bar is too heavy and if that is the case, you will be missing out on all the benefits of this exercise.

This is simply not the issue with our new bar (which weighs 40 pounds unloaded).

-- Also, try thumbless reverse curls for a truly outstanding exercises for building finger strength.

Third, it's painted Emergency red - This not only makes it look super sharp, but this color was also chosen specifically because the red color has actually been proven to make you grip with a harder intensity.

Fourth, our new thick bar is 8 feet long, not seven feet like all the other ones you might find. We thought this was just an interesting thing to try especially for single arm work. The added length means a greater challenge for balancing the bar for exercises like one arm deadlifts and cleans. If you want hands like talons, give those exercises a try.

Fifth, we have them in stock and ready to ship this holiday season. If you want to add thick bar to your training asap, we will be glad to help you out.

Now, you should also know that we have 6, count 'em 6, of these new thick bars in stock. Order one now so you don't miss out!
