Where it All Began
I thought the first entry in the Hand Gripper Hall of Fame should be the one that started it all - for me at least. This is my first hand gripper, a sporting goods store special. It came in a box of two but its twin walked off a long time ago (I think one of my sisters has it).
The directions on the box were to do as many reps as possible with each hand (at once) and then (with each hand sepsrately)
hold a penny between the handles for as long as possible until it drops. I kept up this program a couple days per week and remember being pretty proud of myself when I could finally do 50 reps in each hand.
I actually still use this gripper pretty frequently - the "pistol grip" is perfect for one or two finger training.
