If you and I had a conversation about Twitter at 9 pm last night my stance would have been no way, no how...
At 9 am this morning, it's a different story altogether:
Late last night I had an idea, something that I thought twitter could bring to the table that I had been missing. Turns out after some investigation I was right, there was something that I HAD missed, a detail which is going to makes all the difference in the world.
Its time to once again jump into 'the latest thing' so, if you are into
the whole twittering thing, you can follow me at:
http://twitter.com/oldtimestrength
Be sure to pass the word around to anyone else who may be interested.
Also, if you are interested in joining our Facebook page, the email
address registered to our account is info2 -- AT --functionalhandstrength.com
and the name is "Functional Hand Strength"
Now that I understand 'the score' I'm pretty excited about the possibilities
If I knew then what I know now, I would have started this thing up a long
time ago.
Anyhow, all for now, more updates soon...
Train hard,
John Wood

Now Accepting Pay Pal
I've got some pretty exciting news: something that has been bouncing around in my head for a while now has been setting up pay pal as a payment option.
In recent years Pay Pal has become "the thing" for online transactions for many
people. In the past we had some issues with pay pal but recently our shopping
cart decided to integrate it right in. So, after looking through the details and not
seeing any issues I figured we can give it a try and see how it goes, at least for
the time being.
This is going to be a trial run just to test it out, if it works, then we can make
it a regular feature, if not, we can make it disappear at the touch of a button.
To take advantage of this service, simply go through the normal ordering process, now, on the end checkout screen you will see "Pay Pal" as an option, simply click that button, follow the directions, hit submit and you're done.
Since international clients will still need to contact us for shipping costs
(due to different rates by order weight and destination) I have disabled the pay pal payment option for international orders for the time being.
We are still working out the details on that option and will make an announcement once we have reached a conclusion.
Otherwise, everything should be good to go. If you are a regular pay pal user and have an inclination to place an order today, do me a favor and use that method so we can work out any bugs that may show up.
I suggest a hand gripper or two, we just got in a new shipment of 250 Ironmind grippers.
If you do use this service, also please let us know if you have any questions
or if anything may not be clear. I decided to designate the "Express" option
so you shouldn't have to leave the shopping cart page to complete your order.
Need anything else? Just let us know.
Onward and Upward!

Gettin' Back to Business

Things have settled down a bit round here from the New Year and the great Michigan win in their bowl game. Winter decided to show up again and theres snow everywhere but thats par for the course round these parts.
Otherwise we are getting back in the swing of things, filling out orders, replying to recent phone calls and emails and generally getting the ball rolling again.
If you have been waiting for a response or an order, I want to thank you for your patience, obviously the holidays throw a bit of a monkey wrench into that kind of thing and now that they are over with, things should be smooth sailing from here on out.
Don't know if you noticed it but over the last 72 hours of 2007, first we had out email system go down, then blogger and finally our host which were nice "surprises" to end the new year.
Fortunately we had plans in place to make sure everything ran seamlessly just in case something like that happened – good to know that side of things is taken care of.
The only thing we couldn't do was make updates to the site which is why some of the blogs are behind. In any case, we are back on track and now it's full speed ahead.
If you have any questions or would like to place a hone order, Shelby will
be in until 6 pm today, give her a call: 1-800-978-0206
Now, I do have a couple important announcements about a few of our Products. Our climbing rope manufacturer has informed us that due to rising costs in materials, there will be a price increase effective for all climbing ropes products (including mounting hardware) of roughly 10% on February 1st, 2008.
If you are interested in climbing ropes at all, I strongly urge you to place your order immediately: Climbing Ropes
If we have recently done a quote for you or your institution for climbing ropes or hardware, please note that this quote will expire on that date and if you want to continue with your order, you will need to contact us for a new one.
As always, if you need anything else, just let us know.
