The World's Best Hand & Grip Strength Training Instruction
"RIP Your Opponents To Shreds..."
They won't know what hit 'em!
Sandbags, rice, bales, sacks loaded with hemp, heavy stones and war clubs were all used for the development of strength by wrestlers and combat athletes long
before the invention of the iron barbell. Strengthen your fingers, wrists, arms, shoulders and rotational muscles of the lower back, sides and abdomen with light sandbag work.
Dear Friend,
Thanks to Brooks Kubiks and Dinosaur Training , heavy sandbag work, whether carrying, dragging or throwing has had a resurgence
in the strength training community. And why not? The hardest kind of weight to lift is an awkward
bulky weight and when you train with that kind of weight, you can expect to get stronger all over.
There is no groove like there
is with a solid barbell or dumbbell and this, in turn, forces you to work even harder to complete each movement. Sandbag training will greatly
strengthen your hands and grip.
Sandbag training certainly is nothing new, wrestlers and other combat athletes have been training with heavy, awkward objects such as sandbags for thousands of years.
However... there IS an aspect of sandbag training that has been lost over time...until now.
There is no question of the tremendous whole body strength and development that can be developed with heavy sandbag work
(which have been outlined above)
but what most people tend to forget(or more likely never learned in the first place) is that there are many benefits
to training with lighter sandbags which simply cannot be had with any other piece of equipment.
...add light sandbag work into your training with The Powerbag the newest
product from Functionalhandstregth.com.

Powerbags are small to medium sized sandbags manufactured with pride in the US and built with the toughess and durability to
handle everything you can throw at them.
On the left you will find a partial list of the exercises that can be performed with Powerbags. Most, if not all,
of the exercises that can be performed with dumbbells or barbells can be performed with Powerbags but you will find that
it is a whole new ballgame with these smaller sandbags.
Athletes of every sport can benefit from the unique training techniques which can be done with Powerbags. Here are a few examples:
Wrestlers and martial artists can use power bag training to develop quickness and agility
with a "live" weight" that can be struck, thrown or utilized in ways that solid iron weights simply can't. The Powerbags provide an
excellent way to "warm up" or "cool down" as well as allowing individuals to workout alone using a variety of movements.
Powerbags are especially valuable to offensive and defensive Football linemen looking to build the perfect "punch."
Develop strength and power from the shoulders to the wrist by thrusting the bag at an upward angle to simulate
getting full extension on the "punch."
To balance the weight of the bag, you must maintain a
staggered stance and keep your head and shoulders back
in perfect pass protection posture. Repeated gripping of the bag for any movement strengthens the fingers and develops the power to stay on,
control and drive the blocker into the ground.
Basketball players train with the Powerbags using farmers walks, wall sits, squats, lunges and situps. All of these exercises
develop the toughness to be a Champion.

The Powerbag
is an incredibly valuable tool for every athlete, here are just a few drills that can be done with them.
There is no doubt that just about every movement that can be done with the Powerbags will stress your fingers and
build hand strength but our favorite is the "punch and grab." In football and martial arts, you will have to develop the ability
to simultaneously throw a strike as well as grab on to a jersey or gi... and this skill can be practiced easily with a 15 or 25 pound
Powerbag.
The outer cover of the Power bags is made from 18 oz. vinyl coated nylon to withstand punishment and it is filled with
high quality silica sand.
The Powerbags are available in 15, 25, 35, 50, 75 and 100 pound sizes (though we highly recommend the 15 and 25 pounders.)
Each end of the vinyl Powerbag has sewn in rubber handles which makes these sandbags
perfect for a variety of unique exercises for every athlete and sport.
