Question: Can I use climbing ropes for swinging?

Answer:

Indeed you can use your rope for swinging - provided it is an outdoor polyplus climbing rope. Swinging creates a great deal of friction between the top of the rope and the attachment pivot point. Over time this can wear on manila (indoor) climbing ropes. -- please also keep in mind that swinging on indoor ropes will void the warranty.

Our polyplus outdoor ropes are specially made with a metal thimble at the pivot point to withstand this friction and maintain a strong, secure attachment through heavy-duty use. More Info on Outdoor Climbing Ropes.
