Question: Can you get climbing rope that is thicker than 2 inches in diameter?

Answer:

1-1/2 or 2 inch diameter rope is challenging enough by itself to climb, even by trained professionals. Anything greater than that in diameter is not necessary and/or too difficult to use for training purposes.
