Question: Can I hang my manila rope outside?

Answer:

We do not recommend or condone hanging a manila rope outside unless you plan on taking it down after each use and store it in a safe place. Neither the climbing rope material or the hanging mechanism are designed for outside usage. Leaving a manila climbing rope outside will void any and all warranties associated with it. Furthermore, when exposed to water, manila tends to rot from the inside out making it unsafe and will also develop "rope splinters" which are very uncomfortable.
