Question: Can I hang my manila rope outside?

Answer:

We do not recommend or condone hanging a manila rope outside unless you take it down after each use and store it in a safe place. Neither the climbing rope material or the hanging mechanism are designed for outside usage. When exposed to water, manila not only tends to rot from the inside out but will also develop "rope splinters" which are very uncomfortable.
