Not Just Another Monday

Welcome to Monday - not just any Monday -- but the busiest Monday of the entire year. Oh, did I mention we had a blizzard yesterday. Yeah, a foot of snow fell in roughly 12 hours day before last.

It's been a while since we've had that kind of weather and it has been intense.

Driving around yesterday I helped two random strangers get their cars unstuck from snowdrifts - and just before I got back home my truck promptly got stuck in a snowbank - and two other random strangers gave me a hand.

That's good stuff.

Much thanks to those guys out there wherever they are.

Anyhow, with all sorts of holiday madness we will be in the office all day today packing up recent orders.

Priority number one is getting recent orders in the mail and Bill, Chris, Shelby and Flash the dog will be in the office tonight until 6pm to make sure everything gets out on time.

You can count on us to get the job done.

Anyhow, so what makes me so crazy is that I am going to release a brand new product right now.-- yes, right now, on the busiest day of the year.

It's a piece of equipment that goes back thousands of years, but still works just as good today. Something that would be perfect for every athlete, men, women, children - doesn't matter, all will benefit tremendously...

Instructions for Snail Mail Orders

Even with all the advantages that the internet offers, the "old-fashioned" business of Mail Order is alive and well.

We receive a number of letters each day in the PO Box so this email is for the benefit of anyone thinking about sending payment through the mail.

The first thing you are going to want to do is give us a call:(1-800-978-0206) The reason being is that we can then answer any questions you might have and get you the proper total.

This is important because in the past we have received several orders through the mail which were for incorrect amounts - the two most prevalent reasons are forgetting to add either S&H or neglecting to factor in tax.

An incorrect total means having to take a lot more time to track down the person and get it filled in, etc., etc., which delays the shipping time.

Also, if you do want to order by phone, it is a much easier process than sending a letter.

In any case, contact us first so we can get you the total.

Please make out checks or other forms of payment to me, John Wood.

With your order, also please include the following:

1. Your name
2. Your Shipping Address (please make sure to include apartment numbers)
3. Your Email address and Contact Phone Number
4. The items you are interested in ordering
5. Any other relevant information we might need to ship your order

(You would be surprised how many times someone forgets to include their shipping address) Also, please know that we will not ship any order without complete payment and contact info.

If you are located overseas, the process is essentially the same although your best bet is to email us first instead of calling.

Once we receive your payment, we will ship as quickly as possible, we generally get your order in the mail within 24 hours.

We make this process as simple as possible so that we can get your items to you as quickly as possible.

How I Play the Game

You can look around the Internet these days and see it - but it's always been this way. People talking about tips and tricks and shortcuts to Strength Success...

Of course, there's a right and wrong way to train but that's the incorrect mindset to have and let me tell you why. When trying to accomplish a goal, there is only what is necessary and what is relevant, all else is a waste of time.

And lots of people waste lots of time trying to figure out shortcuts instead of correctly applying their time and effort into what it takes to get stronger. So my feeling is that instead of spending time trying to figure out "tricks and shortcuts" of the game, my philosophy is to just play the game better than anyone else.

That's to say, simply do the simple, basic (although possibly mundane) things that make the greatest difference in terms of Success.

You know what they are. You know exactly what they are...

Its just a matter of "doing it."

Take hand gripper training for example. You would be amazed at the lengths that people go for "tricks and shortcuts" for closing the big grippers.

I have seen folks close a gripper with two hands, hold it with one and then announce to the world how strong they are. Ive seen folks heat up grippers with a blowtorch, or put it in a vise in or put it on the ground and step on the handle over and over to try to weaken the spring.

Bear in mind a lot of thought has gone into these tactics.

Evidently "just getting stronger" involves too much time and effort for many folks.

Funny thing is, it always does...

I say focus on just getting stronger every single workout - then there's no excuses...
